The Queensborough Tigers (7-7) men's basketball team pulled off one of the biggest regular season upsets in recent memory on Tuesday night, with a 60-57 victory on the road at Suffolk Community College (12-2) in Selden. The Sharks are currently ranked 7th in the country in this week's NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Poll. Queensborough led at the half by a score of 28-25, and were able to secure the win by the exact same margin in the end.
The Tigers were led by Sophomore point guard,
Khari Ojeda-Harvey with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Freshman
Preston Harts came up big as well with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, while fellow Freshman
Rohan Singh came through with another strong performance from the perimeter with 17 points.
The win snaps a four-game losing streak for the Tigers, and improves their overall record to 7-7, as they head into a key CUNYAC match-up at home this Saturday versus first-place Hostos Community College.
