The Queensborough Community College men's basketball team extended their winning streak to three games, with a decisive 83-49 victory at perennial Region XV power, Suffolk Community College on Saturday.
The Tigers were once again led by freshman standout
Anthony Walters, who turned in a third consecutive double-double while scoring 30 points or more. In fact, Walters would actually registered a triple-double on the day, with 30 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. In yet another efficient shooting game, Walters shot 11 for 16 from the field, including 3 of 4 from three-point range, and 5 of 6 from the free throw line. Other key contributors to the win were freshman
Bryan Godette, who recorded a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore
Stephon Flores added 20 points and 3 steals.
With the win, the Tigers complete the Fall semester schedule on a three-game win streak, and an overall record of 4-5, including a 2-2 record in CUNYAC play.
Queensborough will return to action on January 7th, when they will travel to the Bronx, to take on the Broncos of Bronx Community College.
