Khari Ojeda-Harvey hit a running three-point shot from the top of the key as time expired to give the Tigers a thrilling 73-72 come from behind victory on Saturday versus CUNYAC foe Bronx Community College. Down by as many as 17 points in the second half, and trailing by 14 points with 5:29 remaining in the game, the Tigers stormed all the way back in the final minutes to secure the unlikely victory.
The Tigers were led by Ojeda-Harvey, who not only made the miraculous game-winning shot, but who also scored a game-high 35 points on 12 for 18 shooting from the field. Key contributions also came from Freshman
Preston Harts with 9 points and 17 rebounds, and Freshman
Rohan Singh with 9 points and 8 rebounds.
With the win, Queensborough has secured the #2 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Tournament starting on Wednesday, February 16th. The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, February 8th, when they will host Dutchess Community College in their regular season finale.
