The Queensborough Community College men's basketball team made it six consecutive wins on Thursday night with an 89-63 victory over Kingsborough Community College on the road in Brooklyn.
The Tigers were led by freshman standout
Anthony Walters, who secured a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds on 11 of 15 shooting from the field. There were three other Tigers in double figures, including sophomore
Stephon Flores with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, sophomore
Rohan Singh with 15 points and 5 assists, while sophomore
Preston Harts fell just short of a triple-double with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists. For the game, Queensborough shot an outstanding 54.0% from the field (34 for 63).
With the win, the Tigers improve to 7-5 overall on the season, and now stand at 4-2 in CUNYAC play. Queensborough will return to play in non-divisional region action on Saturday, January 14th, when they will host the 2nd ranked team in NJCAA Division II, the undefeated (14-0) Colts of Orange Community College.
