The Queensborough Community College men's basketball team continued its strong play with a 82-73 victory over NJCAA Division II Rockland Community College on Saturday in the RFK Gymnasium. After starting the season 1-5, the Tigers have since won 8 of their last 9 games to now stand at 9-6 overall.
On Saturday, the Tigers were led by freshman
Anthony Walters, who poured in a team-high 30 points, to go along wth 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. Queensborough also received key contributions from sophomore
Stephon Flores (15 points and 6 assists), sophomore
Rohan Singh (14 points), sophomore
Preston Harts (14 points and 5 rebounds), and sophomore
Zacharie Nyanid (9 points and 15 rebounds).
The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday, January 24th, when they will face the Sharks of Suffolk Community College at 7:30 p.m. in the RFK Gymnasium on the Queensborough campus in Bayside.
