The Queensborough Community College men's basketball team dropped a 75-57 decision to fifth-ranked Northern Essex Community College on Sunday. The Knights, the defending Region XXI Champions, finished fifth in the nation at last season's NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.

The Tigers were led by sophomore guard Yasin Abdur-Rashid, who scored a team-high 19 points. Freshman forward Williams Guzman also chipped in with nine points and a team-high six rebounds.

Queensborough will return to the court on Thursday, November 9th when they will travel to the Bronx to take on the Express of Monroe College-Bronx starting at 8:00 p.m.
