The four-team field is set for the 2023 CUNYAC/Healthfirst Community College Men's Basketball Championship. For the first time since 2010, the tournament will be played on the campus of Kingsborough Community College.
Semifinal action begins on Wednesday, Feb. 15, with games slated for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The final is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 17 at 8:30 p.m. and will broadcast globally on Facebook Live. Spectators are permitted to attend both tournament dates and will require a ticket for entry. Tickets can be purchased (free of charge) at

Queensborough, last season's runner-up, enters the field as the No. 1 seed, capturing its first regular season championship since the 2007-08 campaign. The Tigers finished the regular season red hot, going 10-2 down the stretch to finish 14-7 overall. Queensborough is led by freshman sensation
Anthony Walters, a four-time CUNYAC Player of the Week honoree who leads the NJCAA DIII in points per game (25.4) and top points (534).
The Tigers are seeking their first CUNYAC tournament title since 2003.
Hostos, the two-time defending tournament champions, are the No. 2 seed in the bracket. The Caimans went 7-3 overall against CUNYAC opposition during the regular season. Hostos is led by Preseason Player of the Year, Marquise Paulin, who leads the squad in points, assists and steals.
BMCC is the No. 3 seed in the tournament, finishing the regular season 10-11 overall and 7-3 against league opposition. The Panthers are led by sophomore guard, Jeremiah Cardi along with freshman forwards, Leverson Tulien and Daniel Laffitte.
The host Kingsborough Wave round out the field as the No. 4 seed in the tournament, posting a 5-5 record against CUNYAC foes this season.
The first semifinal contest features No. 2 Hostos and No. 3 BMCC. The two teams split during the regular season, each winning on the other squad's home court. The second semifinal game features the top-seeded Tigers and Kingsborough. Queensborough won both of its regular season matches with the Wave, outscoring them by a 170-121 margin.
