Men's Outdoor Track & Field

Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Both Ranked #1 In Region By USTFCCCA

On March 27th, the first regional rankings were published by the USTFCCCA (United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) for the 2023 Outdoor Track & Field season, and both the Queensborough Men's Outdoor Track & Field and Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams are ranked #1 in the Northeast Region for NJCAA Division III.

The men's teams sits in the top spot with 938.74 total points, ahead of second ranked Suffolk Community College, who has a total of 355.04 points.

On the women's side, Queensborough is also ranked #1 in the Northeast Region, with a total of 571.94 points. They sit in front of second ranked Suffolk Community College, who has a total of 411.26 points.

Both Queensborough teams will return to action on Sunday, April 2nd, when they will travel to Kings Point, New York for the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational, which will be held at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The event is named in honor of Bill Omeltchenko, the 43-year Hall of Fame Track & Field head coach at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, who is also the father of Queensborough Track & Field head coach, Chris Omeltchenko.
