The Queensborough Community College men's basketball team knocked off the Wave of Kingsborough Community College on Tuesday night with a 87-76 win in the RFK Gymnasium in Bayside. With the victory, the Tigers begin CUNY play 1-0 and improve their overall record to 2-4.
The Tigers were led by a couple of big performances by a pair of sophomores in
Williams Guzman and
Brandon Sun. Guzman led the way with 20 points and a team-high 15 rebounds on the night, while second-year guard
Brandon Sun also added a team-high 28 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the floor, including an efficient 6-for-11 from 3-point range.
After a brief holiday break for Thanksgiving, the Tigers will return to action on Thursday, December 5th when they will host the Red Hawks of LaGuardia Community College in a battle of the borough of Queens.
