The seventh-seeded Queensborough Community College men's basketball team lost in overtime at second-seeded Monroe College-Bronx on Tuesday night, in a thrilling Region XV Quarterfinal game.
Tied at 66 at the end of the regulation, the Express were able to avoid the upset and escape with a 77-76 victory to advance to the semifinals of the 2024 Region XV Tournament. The Tigers had four players score in double figures, led by sophomore
Bryan Godette (19 points), freshman
Williams Guzman (18 points), sophomore
Isaiah Grant (13 points), and freshman
Brandon Sun (12 points).
With the loss, the Tigers end their season with an overall record of 7-16 under first-year head coach Teron Simpson.
