Outdoor Track & Field Performs Well at Coach O Invitational

The Queensborough Community College Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams continued their 2024 campaign at the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational on Sunday, April 7th at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. The event is held annually to honor the late longtime USMMA Track & Field Coach, Bill Omeltchenko, who is the father of current Queensborough Men's and Women's Track & Field Coach, Chris Omeltchenko.

On the day, the men's team was led by sophomore Renaediaz Miller, who finished first in the 3000m Steeplechase and sophomore David Adekoya, who finished second in the 400m Hurdles. Sophomore Bryan Godette also finished fourth overall in the High Jump.

On the women's side, the Tigers were led by freshman Manar Elnoor, who finished third overall in the 3000m Steeplechase.

Both teams will return to action on Friday, April 12th, when they will travel to nearby Queens College to compete in the 2024 Queens College Season Opener.
