The Queensborough Community College men's basketball team cruised past the Borough of Manhattan Community College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 63-40 to begin CUNY play on the season.
The Tigers smothering defense held the Panthers to 23.2% shooting on the day, including 1-for-20 from three-point range. QCC was led by sophomore
Jerheim Elder with 15 points (5-for-9 FG) and six steals, while fellow sophomore
Jhereme Asamoah contributed a near double-double with nine points and eight rebounds.
With the win, the Tigers now stand at 1-0 in CUNY play, with an overall record of 5-1. The Tigers will return to the court on Tuesday, November 25th when they will travel to Brooklyn to take on CUNY foe Kingsborough Community College.
