The Queensborough Community College men's basketball won their season opener by a score of 75-72 over the visiting Lions of Nassau Community College in Tuesday night in the RFK Gymnasium.
Queensborough was led by a trio of sophomores in forward
Jerheim Elder (22 points), guard
Diego Cruz Lopez (17 points), and forward
Jhereme Asamoah with a near double-double (9 points, 11 rebounds).
The Tigers will quickly return to the court when they will hit the road for the first time this season, when they will travel to the Bronx to take on the Express of Monroe University-Bronx on Thursday evening, November 6th.
