Freshman
Derick Charles provided the spark needed as the Queensborough Community College men's basketball fought their way through a 65-60 victory to push their season-high win streak to six games. With the win the Tigers improve to 10-1 overall and 8-1 in Region XV play.
Charles came off the bench to score 13 points and recorded four steals in the win. Sophomore
Diego Cruz Lopez led the team with 14 points and a game-high seven steals.
Queensborough will end first semester play on Saturday when they host the Caimans of Hostos Community College in a pivotal early season CUNY and Region XV showdown. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. in the RFK Gymnasium in Bayside.
