The Queensborough Community College men's basketball team ran their win streak to a season-high five games as the Tigers stepped out of Region XV play and defeated the Sound of Five Towns College by a score of 87-75 on Tuesday evening.
Sophomore
Diego Cruz Lopez scored 27 points in only 30 minutes of play on an incredible 10-for-12 shooting from the floor to lead the Tigers to the non-region win. Cruz Lopez also added five steals on the night, only surpassed by sophomore
Cadell Inniss who led the team with six steals in the contest.
The Tigers improve to 9-1 with the win and will return home for two Region XV contests later this week when they will host Sullivan Community College and Hostos Community College in Bayside.
