The Queensborough Community College men's and women's cross country teams hosted the 2024 QCC Invitational on a beautiful Sunday morning at Van Cortlandt Park, and the event was a huge success for the Tigers and the many schools that took part.
In the men's 8k event, a total of 21 scoring teams and 162 runners took part on a sunny day at Van Cortlandt Park. NCAA Division III United States Merchant Marine Academy proved to be too much for the field as they finished in first place as a team, followed by NJCAA Division I Monroe College-New Rochelle, and NCAA Division III St. Joseph's University-Long Island. Queensborough finished 15th as a team on the day, defeating five NCAA Division III schools along the way.
In the women's 5k event, a total of 17 scoring teams and 144 runners participated. NCAA Division III Pratt Institute led the way, with NCAA Division III institutions Bard College and Sarah Lawrence College close behind. The Queensborough women finished in 16th place as a team on the day.
