The Queensborough Community College men's and women's cross country teams opened their 2022 season on Saturday at the Purchase College Invitational, which was held on the campus of SUNY Purchase, in Purchase, New York.
For the women, freshman
Shivangi Sharma finished 4th among junior college runners (58th overall), and was the highest finisher among the three QCC entries.
On the men's side, the Tigers finished 6th overall as a team, defeating the likes of NCAA Division III Manhattanville College, as well as NCAA Division II Pace University. The Tigers were led by two top-25 scoring finishers, led by freshman
Renaediaz Miller (15th overall) and freshman
Nickolas Pirovolikos (25th overall).
Both teams will return to action next Friday, September 16th, when they will compete in the New Paltz Invitational at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, New York.
