Sophomore standout John Pavana led the Queensborough Community College Tigers past Rockland Community College by a score of 3-0 on Saturday, in a Region XV match played on the campus of QCC in Bayside, New York.

On the day, Pavana would score two goals and add one assist to lead the Tigers. Fellow sophomore Dennis Sumba also added a goal and an assist to cap the scoring for Queensborough. With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-2 overall on the season. They will return to action on Tuesday, September 20th in a key conference match-up versus longtime CUNYAC rival, the Borough of Manhattan Community College. The match will be played at 4:00 p.m. in Bayside.
