The Queensborough Community College men's soccer team earned their first win of the season with a 3-2 victory over the Falcons of Dutchess Community College on Saturday afternoon in Bayside.
In the first half, the Tigers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with goals by freshman
Wendy Jerome (3:00/assisted by
Elhadj Diallo) and
Juan Reyes (16:00/assisted by
Jahidul Haque). After Dutchess cut the score to 2-1 at halftime, QCC scored again just three minutes into the second half on the second goal of the game by forward
Wendy Jerome. From the there the Tigers would give up one late goal while hanging on for the one goal victory.
With the win the Tigers improve to 1-6 overall. They will return to the pitch on Tuesday, September 30th when the will host the Sharks of Suffolk Community College at 4:00 p.m.
