The Queensborough Community College men's and women's cross country teams hosted the 2023 QCC Invitational on Sunday afternoon, and the event was a huge success for the Tigers and the many schools that took part.
In the men's 8k event, a total of 20 scoring teams and 150 runners took part on a sunny day at Van Cortlandt Park. NCAA Division II Felician College proved to be too much for the field as they finished in first place as a team, followed by NJCAA Division I Monroe College-New Rochelle, and NCAA Division III Hunter College. Queensborough finished 11th as a team on the day, defeating six NCAA Division III schools along the way.
In the women's 5k event, a total of 16 scoring teams and 135 runners participated. Once again, NCAA Division II Felician College and NJCAA Division I Monroe College-New Rochelle placed first and second overall, followed by NCAA Division II Queens College, who featured two Queensborough alumni in
Andrea Rivera and
Shivangi Sharma. The Queensborough women finished in 16th place as a team on the day.
