For the second consecutive season, the Queensborough Community College women's cross country team finished in second place at the Region XV Championships, which were held at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, New York as part of the St. Joseph's University (Long Island) Invitational.
On a dreary weather day, the Tigers pushed through and recorded two top-twenty finishes on the day. Queensborough was led by
Nayla Walters with a 17th place finish and
Kayla Hernandez with a 19th place finish. Though the Tigers finished 20th overall as a team at the meet, they placed second among Region XV Division III schools, trailing only perennial national-power, Suffolk Community College.
The Tigers will now turn their sights to the 2023 CUNYAC Championships, which will be held on Sunday, October 29th at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York.
