The Queensborough Community College men's soccer team came up short on Sunday afternoon in the City University of New York (CUNY) championship match against the Borough of Manhattan Community College in a match played in Brooklyn.
The Tigers lost to the Panthers by a score of 5-1, with the Tigers trailing throughout the entire contest. The Panthers of BMCC took a quick 1-0 lead early in the first half and never looked back, as they held a commanding 4-0 lead at halftime. Though Queensborough held their own in the second half, it was much too little, much too late to threaten the lead.
The Tigers will now look towards the Region XV tournament to see where they will be seeded and who they will be matched up against in the coming days.
