Down 2-0 after the top of the first inning, the Queensborough Tigers immediately responded with an 11-run outburst in the bottom of the first inning, enroute to a lopsided 26-7 victory against the Borough of Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers were led by sophomores
Brandon Caraballo and
Billy Tavarez who both drove in six runs each in the game. Tavarez also went 4-for-5 at the plate while scoring three runs. Queensborough had nine different players drive in runs on the day, including six of whom drove in two or more runs.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-3 overall on the season and begin conference play with a win in their first contest.
