Walk-Off Win in Extra Innings Catapults Tigers to Season Series Victory Over BMCC

The Queensborough Community College baseball team defeated the Panthers of the Borough of Manhattan Community College by a score of 11-10 in 10 innings on Monday afternoon in the completion of a suspended game that originally began on April 1st. The game that day was suspended due to darkness with the score tied at ten a piece with one out in the bottom of the tenth inning and a runner on third base at the point of interruption.

When play resumed on Monday, the Panthers intentionally walked the first two batters to load the bases with one out. However, that strategy proved fruitless as BMCC would walk the very next batter, forcing home the game winning run for a final score of 11-10 in ten innings.

With the win, the Tigers improve to 4-4 in CUNYAC play and 5-7 overall on the season.

Queensborough will return to play immediately on Tuesday, when they will travel to Bronx Community College for a pivotal four-game series against the Broncos.
