The Queensborough Community College baseball team ended their season with a 6-4 victory against Monroe College-Bronx on Saturday afternoon at Padavan-Preller Field in Bellerose.
The Tigers were led at the plate by freshman
Lucas Torrech (3-for-3, double, 1 RBI), sophomore
Noah Tannenbaum (double, 2 RBI), and sophomore
Miguel Baez (2-for-3, 1 RBI), but the story of the day was on the mound. That's where sophomore
James Cummins threw his fifth complete game of the season while scattering seven hits and striking out five for his fifth win of the year.
With the victory, the Tigers end their season with an overall record of 7-17, while finishing third in the CUNYAC standings and fifth overall in the Region XV standings.
