The Queensborough Community College men's soccer team settled for a partial upset on Thursday with a 1-1 tie versus the Wave of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. The Wave are currently ranked 9th in the NJCAA Division III national rankings.
Trailing 1-0 at the half, the Tigers would tie the game in the 72nd minute on a goal by freshman
Danniel Goicochea. The teams would battle for the final eighteen minutes, with both squads unable to convert resulting in the tie. With the result, Queensborough now stands at 2-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in CUNY play.
On Saturday, the Tigers will once again face-off with a nationally ranked opponent, when they will take on 10th ranked Monroe University-Bronx in Bayside.
