The Queensborough Community College women's basketball team traveled to Long Island City on Thursday evening to take on CUNYAC foe LaGuardia Community College, where the Tigers came away with a 53-50 victory. The win pushes the Tigers to 6-9 overall on the season, and 4-3 in conference play.
The Tigers were led by a pair of freshman in
Isabella Casey with 37 points, 6 rebounds, and two steals, as well as
Nayla Walters, who added 12 points and 24 rebounds. Fellow freshman
Ana Duran also added 14 rebounds, including seven on the offensive end.
Queensborough will return to action on Saturday, January 28th, when they will travel to the Bronx to take on the Caimans of Hostos Community College, who are currently ranked 9th in the NJCAA Division III national poll.
