The Queensborough Community College women's basketball team defeated the Borough of Manhattan Community College this evening, rolling past the Panthers by a score of 83-55 in Bayside.
The Tigers were led by a pair of huge performances in the front court, led by sophomore
Nayla Walters, who contributed 22 points, 14 rebounds, six steals, and two blocks. She was joined by freshman
Renike Ewen who contributed a near triple-double with 15 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, while also adding four blocked shots. Also scoring in double figures for Queensborough were sophomore
Isabella Casey (14 points) and freshman
Sheila Da Silva (11 points).
With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-2 overall on the season, and begin conference play with a victory in their first CUNYAC game of the year. The team will return to action on Tuesday, November 21st, when they will travel to Brooklyn to take on the Wave of KIngsborough Community College.
