The Queensborough Community College women's basketball team knocked off visiting Northern Essex Community College on Sunday afternoon by a score of 61-55.
The Tigers were led by sophomore guard
Isabella Casey who scored a game-high 24 points, to go along with nine rebounds and five steals. Freshman
Nasira Short also recorded a double-double with 16 points and team-high 12 rebounds in the contest.
With the victory, Queensborough improves to 1-1 on the season. They will return to action on Thursday, November 9th when they will travel to the Bronx to take on the Express of Monroe College-Bronx starting at 6:00 p.m.
