Nasira Short nailed a pull-up jump shot from the free throw line as time expired to send Queensborough to a thrilling 58-56 victory on the road at NJCAA Division II Orange Community College on Saturday in Middletown, New York.
For the game, Short recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Her efforts were also supported by sophomore standout
Nayla Walters with 17 points and a game-high 25 rebounds, and by freshman
Sheila Da Silva with 18 points and two steals.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 6-7 overall on the season. Queensborough will return to action on Thursday, January 18th, when they will travel to Garden City to take on the 14th ranked Lions of Nassau Community College.
