The Queensborough Women's Volleyball team are Region XV Champions once again!
For the fifth consecutive season (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2021), the Tigers of Queensborough are the Region XV Champions in Women's Volleyball. To get there though, was no easy task. In the semifinal round, the Tigers faced 5th seeded Nassau Community College, who once again gave QCC all they could handle and more. Just like the two previous matches this season versus the Lions, the match would go five grueling sets, with the Tigers prevailing in the end to win three sets to two.
In the Championship match, the Tigers would get out to a fast start and never look back as they would go on the win the region title with a decisive 3-0 victory versus 3rd seeded Rockland Community College. For their efforts, Sophomore
Leslie Flores, and Freshman
Rosanna Bradica were named to the Region XV All-Tournament Team, while Sophomore
Amira Durkovic was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.
Currently standing at 15-2 overall, the Tigers will return to action on Monday night in the CUNYAC Championship game, versus the winner of the Hostos/Bronx semifinal match-up.
