The Queensborough Community College women's volleyball team won their fifth consecutive match on Wednesday evening with a three sets to none sweep of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-0 in CUNY play, with an overall record of five wins and three losses.
The Tigers received a balanced effort, receiving key contributions for multiple players, including sophomore
Samantha Mateo (nine kills, seven service aces, and 15 digs), freshman
Laury Rodriguez (nine kills), freshman
Aryam Perez Capellan (23 assists and 10 digs), and sophomore
Amber Rosario (team-high 17 digs).
The Tigers will return to the court this Saturday, when they will face-off in a Region XV double-dual versus the Fashion Institute of Technology and CUNY rival the Borough of Manhattan Community College.
