The 5th seeded Queensborough women's volleyball team fell just short of pulling a major upset in the Region XV semifinals on Saturday against #1 overall seed Monroe College-Bronx. It took all five sets for the Express to finally defeat the Tigers in yet another five set match. Monroe College-Bronx would defeat the Tigers in a tightly contested, back and forth match by scores of 20-25, 26-24, 25-22, 22-25, and 7-15.

For her efforts throughout the tournament, sophomore Desiree Morales was named to the Region XV All-Tournament Team.

With the loss, the Tigers have been eliminated from the Region XV Tournament. Queensborough will return to action on Monday October 24th, when they will host the 2022 CUNYAC Championship Tournament in the RFK Gymnasium starting at 4:00 p.m. The Tigers are slated as the #2 seed and will face 3rd seeded Kingsborough Community College in the second semifinal match of the day at 6:00 p.m.
