The Queensborough Women's Volleyball team fell short in their quest to win a seventh consecutive CUNYAC Tournament Championship on Monday evening in the RFK Gymnasium in Bayside, on the campus of QCC.
After sweeping past Kingsborough Community College in the semifinals three sets to zero, the Tigers faced off against the 2022 CUNYAC regular season champions, the Panthers from the Borough of Manhattan Community College in the title match. With home court advantage and the home crowd behind them, the Tigers were unable to defend their title, and the long streak of consecutive conference titles came to an end by a score of three sets to none.
For their efforts in Monday's semifinal and finals match, sophomores
Rosanna Bradica and
Ipek Yurttutan were named to the 2022 CUNYAC All-Tournament Team.
With the loss, the Tigers end the season with an overall record of 13-9.
